Chicagoland: not a good place for grits, so admittedly, I’m a grits hater. May have something to do with waitressing at Bob Evans through all of my student years and having to serve fried mush, and bowls of the cornmeal-and-water type of grits. (Come to think of it, may have also played a role in my becoming vegetarian!) You have changed my mind about grits, please teach me how! I vote for a grits post.

I have to say, I feel the need to go now. . . I’ve taught Mark to cook pretty good southern food, but some days I’m just way too lazy to do all that work. . . still though I’m missing my peaches, and nothing really tops shrimp and grits. . . mmmmm. . . shrimp n’ grits. . . lol

Whoa, you detected the TVP? That’s pretty sharp! (I’m not too into the vege world, though, so maybe I just don’t have too much experience.) I didn’t know there was cornmeal-hate– sounds crazy to me!
